Bark in the Dark - Fall of 2018- This family & dog friendly glow-in-the-dark 5k and 1 mile fun run/walk is bound to be a blast! Before the race, attendees will enjoy family activities including balloon animals, face painting, and a pup-a-razzi photobooth! Afterwards, enjoy local beer, wine, hard cider, treats, and music with your fellow animal lovers. All proceeds from the event benefit Humane Society of West Michigan, a 100% donor funded 501(c)3 non-profit that promotes humane treatment and responsible care of animals in West Michigan through education, example, placement, and protection.

Paws, Claws, & Corks- Monday, March 19, 2019 at DeVos Place - This annual event will feature the hottest restaurants, breweries, and wineries in West Michigan. Guests will enjoy fabulous cuisine, wonderful wine and beer samples, as well as opportunities to bid on exciting packages including adventures, trips, wine, sports memorabilia and much more! Most importantly, money raised will benefit the Humane Society of West Michigan in our mission to promote the humane treatment and responsible care of animals in our community through education, example, responsible placement and protection.


Ales for Tails - May 17th, 6-9 PM. The Blue Dog Tavern is partnering with Alaskan brewing and Alliance beverage to help raise funds and awareness for animal rescues and non profits.  These amazing companies have teamed up to each donate $1 for every Alaskan Brewery beer sold during that time to help our favorite four legged friends at HSWM. The Blue Dog Tavern will be giving away a number of prizes and offering up some amazing food specials as well. So plan on coming to the Blue Dog, drinking some beers and helping a great cause.

The Asher House - June 2nd, 1-3 PM. The Asher House is currently embarking on a cross-country mission to get dogs out of shelters and into loving homes. Lee Asher and his team will be showcasing the animals here at HSWM. They will also pay $25 towards the adoption of  any dog 1 year and older during this event as well as supplying the adopter with MyOllie dog food. 

Brushes with Benefits Paint Party - June 19th, canvas, paint, brushes, and a 3 hour step-by-step walk-through of a beautiful painting. You will be assisted in creating a masterpiece that you will actually be proud to take home! PLUS, for every ticket sold, Brushes with Benefits is donating $10 to the Humane Society of West Michigan! Food and drinks are available for purchase at every venue. All ages welcome. For every event with 30+ attendees, Brushes with Benefits will donate an additional $100 to Humane Society of West Michigan! Click here for more information.

AGoldPhoto - June 25th, Adam from AGoldPhoto uses photography to tell stories of adoption, rescue and highlight various animal welfare issues. His unique approach to working with animals allows him to showcase the pet’s personality in ways most people haven’t seen. June 25th Adam and his team will be at the Standale Chow Hound location taking photographs of your pet! AGoldPhoto & Chow Hound will be donating a total of $50 to HSWM for every photo session. Pet Therapy Seminar - Have your dog hep others! This seminar will include what is involved in therapy work, what temperament is best suited for therapy work, expectations during therapy work, and will hep determine if it's right for you and your dog

Baby Ready Pets Seminar - A common reason animals are surrendered to a shelter is due to them not adjusting well to a new baby in the household. Be sure to start your pet off on the right foot by preparing him/her for the new arrival.
