October 7th, 2023
Join Humane Society of West Michigan in October, and help us celebrate 11 years of Bark in the Dark! This year is going to be unlike any other; we have taken out the run/ walk portion of the event, and have decided to focus on a fun hangout environment for everyone to enjoy! We will have delicious food from some of Grand Rapids best food trucks, live music from some amazing bands, and refreshing drinks for our 21 and up club! We encourage you to also bring your pup along with you in their best costume to compete in our annual pup-a-razzi costume contest. We cannot wait to see you all there!

This annual event features the hottest restaurants, breweries, and wineries in West Michigan. Guests will enjoy fabulous cuisine wonderful wine and beer samples, as well as opportunities to bid on exciting packages & experiences! Most importantly, money raised will support the Humane Society of West Michigan.

Friday, September 8th-September 9th 5pm-8pm: After Dark In The Park
Come meet us down off Monroe to see all of our adoptable animals out in the park! This market will be filled with artists, vendors, and food trucks!
Thursday, September 14th 2-4:30pm: Pet Supplies Plus- Market Place Drive
We will be at Pet Supplies Plus with our adoptions trailer! Come out to meet our adoptable animals and see if you find your new best friend!
Friday, September 15th 5-7pm: Sparta Apple Fest
We will be at Balyeat Field with our adoption trailer showing off our puppies! Come on out to meet them and hopefully find your new family member.
Sunday, September 24th 1-4pm: Dave & Busters
Dave & Busters is hosting "Dogs Day!" and we will be there with our adoptable puppies! Come out to play some games and meet your new best friend.
Thursday, September 28th 2-4:30pm: Pet Supplies Plus- Wilson Ave
We will be parked outside of Pet Supplies Plus with our adoption trailer! Stop on by to meet our adoptable animals and see if you find one to join your family!
