A place to honor pets who have passed on...

Losing a beloved pet is hard. They imprint on our souls, provide unconditional love, and are an integral part of the family. We love them just like the human members of our families and the pain that comes when they pass can be unbearable. 

​To help ease this pain, we’d like to give those wishing to honor and remember a pet a unique opportunity to do so while helping to save the life of a shelter pet. The Humane Society of West Michigan has a beautiful rainbow bridge and memorial garden on our property. This bridge serves as a place to reflect, meditate, and honor those pets who have passed.

​For a small donation of $50 (per honored animal):

  • Your pets name will be engraved on a pet tag and hung on the bridge
  • Your pets name will be included on our rainbow bridge webpage
  • For each year beyond the initial donation, you may renew your tag(s) for $25

A few important notes:

  • The engraved tag on the bridge and your pet's name on our webpage will remain up for one year. After one year, you will have the chance to renew your memorial for a reduced rate of $25.
  • If you choose not to renew, HSWM will mail the engraved tag to you. In order to have a memorial tag mailed to you, an email with your desired mailing address must be sent to [email protected].
