Adoptable Cats

Our website is directly linked with our internal system. This means as soon as an animal is up for adoption their information will appear below. If their profile is no longer shown online it means they are no longer up for adoption.

Please note due to an extreme high rate of turn over (which we love) some photos may not be available. Please click the icon for further information on the animal OR contact us via email/phone (adoptions@hswestmi.org/(616) 453-8900).

If you are interested in one of our working cats please click HERE for more information about our working cat program.

Humane Society of West Michigan strongly discourages declawing of any cat or kitten for the convenience of their owners or to prevent damage to household property. Declawing can negatively impact the long-term health and/or behavior of your cat. Removing a cat’s ability to scratch is stressful and they may respond to that stress with undesirable behaviors. Declawing is the amputation of the last bone of each toe. If performed on a human, it would be like cutting off each finger at the last knuckle. Medical complications may also arise from declawing, including abscesses, painful bone spurs, and regrowth of a deformed claw. For more information about the benefits of claws, please visit our Feline Behavior Resource page.
