Youth Camps

Humane Society of West Michigan knows the importance of educating children through experience. We offer camps throughout the year to educate children on animal welfare, as well as giving them an enjoyable experience. Through games, crafts, animal time, guest speakers, and more your child will learn life lessons and have a fun filled experience that will be with them for a lifetime!

Camp Caturday

Saturday February 4th, March 4th, April 1st, and May 6th
10:00AM to 12:00PM
Ages 5-15
Cost: $10 per session

This camp is all things cats! In these sessions we will explore different types of domestic cats, reading their body language, the responsibilities involved in cat ownership, and kitten season!
To register, please email heducation@hswestmi.org

Neurodivergent Camp

Saturday March 18th and May 20th
9:00AM to 1:00PM
Ages 5-15
Cost: $50 per session

This camp is designed to be sensory sensitive. Low lighting, limited attendance and 'forts' for campers to hangout with their favorite animals one on one are just some of the adjustments made to allow a low sensory environment with big fun!
To register, please email heducation@hswestmi.org

Junior Counselor Certification Program

Saturday April 22nd
10:00AM to 4:00PM (Lunch Provided)
Ages 12-15
Cost: $10 per child

Do you have a camper that wants to become a Junior Counselor at our Summer Camps? This is a great opportunity for your experienced camper to assist us with crafts, animals and tasks during a week or more of summer camp 2023.

If you have a younger past camper that would like to be certified please contact Amy directly at: aheddy@hswestmi.org
